Thank you, Thea! Not enough people are talking about this!

History is indeed repeating itself. Hitler did the same thing in Nazi Germany. He said that art had to be in support of the State and anything deemed otherwise was "degenerate" and subject to being confiscated, publicly humiliated, destroyed and the artists sent to the camps. Many fled Germany and went to London and the US while others were not so fortunate and had to suppress their voice or be careful how they expressed it (and who they showed it to).

This is a very scary, slippery slope that "the free world" is now headed towards.

The suppression of art is the suppression of the people's voices. This is something that we should all push back on. I have been attending concerts and events at the Kennedy Center for years but will not until this regime is gone.
