Perry obviously has not been able to stay sober, as discussed in the video I included in the post. And drugs were surely involved in Diddy’s “freak offs.” Grohl and Brooks? Who knows. A drunken one-night stand… Or pre-show cocktails turned sexual harassment of a hired makeup artist? Wouldn’t be the first time women were sexually harassed by their boss.

Let’s not forget that Farrell and Navarro are close peers of the RHCP. Navarro ring found on the streets of Venice by Flea and taken to rehab—which finally stuck. Somehow the Chili Peppers have managed to stay sober for a couple of decades now. Farrell—not so much.

Re: RHCP, it’s quite extraordinary given the temptations that the fans themselves present to the artists. Especially while touring.

Yeah it’s an issue in rock n roll and all music. Fame is a bitch and coping often involves drugs and booze.

Great article. Never figured out why women would be stupid and/or desperate enough to meet a man about a job in a hotel room.
