Gosh, this is so awesome Thea. Thank you!! I would have never imagined being amongst such an amazing group of writers. I'm so lucky to have found this amazing Substack family.
Thank you so much for including us in this wonderful round up and so many great recommendations. It’s been so amazing to be part of this community and meet inspiring people like you!
I would like everyone to hear a beautiful, tender song from Tyneside legend Martha Hill. Her 2024 album Football Heid has many gems but this song, she told a packed audience at one of the rare gigs she performed to promote it, is one of her favourites. It's on Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/track/62DWhwMzGjZKiGUnNc7hDH?si=cabe4d316de44029) and presumably Apple Music but please check out her Bandcamp page.
Really honored to be part of this Substack Sister wrap up of 2024 songs that resonate with women! This is why I love Substack. The ability to be creative and be part of that community of like minded individuals. Thank You Thea!
Good Luck Babe was the most played song on my kitchen echo show this year! Honestly, I thought I had played Pink Pony Club more often hahaha!
These last couple of months have had me listening to Tracy Chapman’s self titled first album over and over. I wouldn’t be able to pick one song from it that I consider the best. But, what started it was listening to Talkin’ Bout a Revolution the day after the election. The whole album gives me comfort, and I’ve needed a lot of comfort music lately.
Wonderful round up. Some great picks.

Hi Thea, wonderful project, it's going to take me a little while to listen to all of these. Are you taking suggestions from dudes?

Actually, do you mind posting these in the post comments section? It would be nice to have them all in the same place so others can see them, too!
I thought I did? I’m confused lol 😂 do you mean on Notes?
Oops, you did! LOL. 😂 I saw it in my mobile app and it looked like it was in the notes feed. My apologies!
Hahaha no worries!!
I love these! Thanks for sharing ☺️
